Jan. 21st, 2005 09:28 amAn article entitled "Dancing the War Away" seems a good follow up to the one I posted yesterday. (via
angelovebbw ... thanks.)

There seems to be enough interest that I am setting a deadline. The
deadline for the first draft for the short story of your choice in any
writing style and any genre is midnight Saturday, February 5.
Keep in mind that a rough draft is not perfect. We are not striving for
perfection in a rough draft, but for the essence of the story and the plot.
The story is to be between 2500 and 3000 words or less.
If you are going to participate please post this in your own journal as
there may be those on your friends list who would like to participate as
well. Even if you're not participating but think there might be some on
your friends list who would want to, feel free to post this in your own
journal. Link back to this original post, so that if anyone wants to
participate who is not on my friends list they can leave a comment to this
post so that I (and others) can keep an eye on their journals as well. :)
Feel free to post your rough draft ahead of deadline if you are ambitious
and get done ahead of schedule.
When posting your rough draft, be sure to put "Short Story Challenge" in the
title of the post. Disable comments if you do not want feedback on your
work. Leaving it open for comments will be seen as an invitation for
critique.
Ready, set, WRITE!
