Mourning a Dear Friend

For those of you who may have known him, Richard (a.k.a. Prince Ka) is gone. He died last night with members of his family around him. I have already shared words with a new community created to remember him: princeka. He is one of those rare, beautiful people who made everyone who knew him feel loved. I don't know what we will do without his honey-coloured light shining in our lives, but we will have him in our hearts. He is greatly loved, and it is hard to have him leave us so early in his life. There are few people I know who could give hugs with sincerity and who truly seemed to accept everyone who befriended him regardless of what they looked like or what they were interested in. He was so beautiful, and now he no longer walks this world except in memory and love.
