Thanks to the tireless efforts of [livejournal.com profile] damashita, I'm a redhead again. Anyone want to go out with Ana and I tonight? *flirt, flirt*
neversremedy8: (You Have to Believe We Are Magic)
With Ana's birthday coming up faster and faster, and this being NUMBER FIVE, I know I want to make it the best I can. I am quite certain I'll have been working a while by July, however, since I don't know what kind of budget I'll be working with, I was searching for ways to make her party fun, but not too expensive. Lucky me, I found a web site with tips on a Star Wars themed birthday that includes a pinata (which Ana wants to have):

Star Wars Theme at Kids Domain

My friend, Lauren, sent this:
Washington State leads wave of 'green' building--Yay, us! )

There was another article I had printed off for myself a week or two ago, and to which I wanted to respond. Seattle has strong plans for ending homelessness in our city within ten years. Considering some of the ideas I've had in the last few months of ways to help out the homeless--to give them adequate resources, skills, and shelter--I wonder if a letter to the officials working on these would even take my suggestions to heart. Some of it would probably sound too hippie-ish or costly in the short term, but ... well, what the hell? Maybe I'll write it and they'll listen--if they don't, I can always just write a book about it and someone else might use my ideas. So nya.

Tomorrow, Ana and I are headed out to see a matinee of Kung Fu Hustle downtown. Anyone want to join, just head to my contact info in memories and give me a call. We'll probably be going down to the Cineplex Odeon around lunch time, picking up some food before we see the movie, and all that. I've budgeted our money for the next several weeks, and I think we can afford some cheap tickets and a couple of cheeseburgers. As it is, I have a 17-day plan for our meals, with the exception of one dinner (anyone want to take us out or have us over one night soon?) until my next food stamps come in, so I'm doing fairly well. I'm also managing not to chew my nails to the quick while awaiting help for my computer, although I think I may be grinding my teeth in my sleep again. Talk about withdrawl. I've started an on-going list of the MP3's I can remember having on my system (there were over 250, the last I checked--or was it 350?) in case the news is dire. I'm crossing my fingers that it was just my start up file that was corrupted by a virus. A simple hard drive shuffle should make it possible for me to compress and retrieve data before wiping the sick drive. Poor Kalinda. What have I done to this once-magnificent goddess? Perhaps I should have named my computer Ede; it would be more appropos to my situation.

*hugs* So, yeah, movie tomorrow? Anyone? I really want to show off my new hair color and my new silk outfit. *smooch*
