Saturday, Craig spoiled us; we had Indian buffet that turned out to have just what everybody wanted, followed by a walk about Fremont and chocolate overload at Simply Desserts. He's getting me hooked on Twin Peaks, since I never watched it when it was first on. [livejournal.com profile] periwinklebliss and [livejournal.com profile] passions_sonnet invited us over for dinner and conversation; Ana watched Disney's Robin Hood, and we had yet more feasting. I kept to small amounts of food after gorging on Indian and chocolate earlier. None of it stopped Ana from eating large amounts of pizza, cheese sticks, and cookies. Had a lot of good girl-time, and towards the end of our evening, received some of the lower back/hip massage work I've been desperately needing. There were some tears afterwards, stuff that needed to come up, but I felt a lot better inside my skin.

Today I've oiled our hair and we're both sporting braids while the olive oil does its work. I managed to trim off some of Ana's split ends before the scalp massage, but mine still could use a snipping. After reading in my new massage book about social massage practices of India, I want to make massage a weekly event at home, even if we're just doing a scalp massage or can't do intensive work each week, there should be family touch and comforting. Sunday seems like a good day for it. I still need to do laundry and get some of the rooms cleaned up today; I also have a minimum goal for job searching today, since I'd like to get a jump on it before tomorrow. I'll probably be out of the house during the day, since there's a visit-with-administration time at Ana's school in the morning, and I need to try to get an appointment with my doctor tomorrow as well. La! Despite what Saturn keeps throwing at me, I have to keep going. Part of me wishes I'd gone to search for my notebook with my to-do list myself at Craig's house, but I knew I'd have gotten distracted and not stayed on task this weekend if I had. Muh. I'll have to operate without until it can be found and returned. If nothing else, I can look for it next weekend.

Now for linkage, much of it of no real connection:

*OpenCourse: OpenCourse Consortium and Its Subject Selector. This is my new porn. Once I get into it, don't expect to hear from me for a while, much like combining the beta of PornoTube.com with a young frat boy (their hentai selections are too short to capture my interest).
