Homeschooling?

Surprisingly Big Blow to California Homeschoolers. Anyone know what Washington state's legislation says about compulsory education and homeschooling? I would hate to think something similar could happen up here, and I do hope people in California work to change the legislation they are "seeking to uphold." Such bullshit. Outdated laws should be reviewed and changed where necessary--even the state's Superintendent of Public Instruction supports homeschooling!
