(no subject)

I guess I'm not well enough to go running off to the food bank and assist in the cold. With a cold. *sighs* I feel like such a disappointment.

On the other hand, my new layout is very cheery.

On the other other hand (how many hands do I have?), this layout is so bright and cheery, I can barely read the text, and the posts from my friends that are serious and/or sad aren't given proper weight. Also, any posts with images, quizzes, or videos in them, break the formatting, so um. Yeah. I'll keep looking for new pretty layout. I just joined four layout communities, you wouldn't think it would be this hard to find one that I think is both the right look for me AND has a layout that's functional no matter the situation.

And yeah, layout? MUST HAVE SIDEBAR. I mean really, how am I supposed to utilize LJ to the utmost without a sidebar? Now I just want to say sidebar a whole lot.

On the other other other hand (I'm a Hindu deva!) if I don't go to the food bank, I also don't go to the P/T conference. I mean, didn't we just have one of those last week? Murr. *cough cough*

Layout+/-

I have worked a bit on the layout originally designed by merlinburgh to further customize it to my own uses, and to make it more readable. I still need to resize the entry boxes, but that's going to require some graphics editing, which I'm not willing to put the effort into just yet. Give me a week to finish up my quarter, and then I can spend more time idling away online. I mean, not like I didn't just do that all day today (except for the lovely late afternoon walk to and from the library), but I'd prefer to use the rest of my weekend getting my ducks in a neat and tidy straightforward sort of orientation. How much longer can I turn a three-letter word into a full sentence?
