Of course the brain is still evolving... how else will we outwit and outsex our rivals?

I read a book called "The Red Queen" a while back. Amongst it's arguments, that while evolution to adapt to environment was a large factor, most of competitions was for sexual selection *within* the tribe.

I'll have to read that book. One of the best shows I've watched on sex and evolution is a PBS special (probably can be found at the library) called "Why Sex?" It goes into evolution as driven by sex and what humanity might be like if we'd had an easier environment during our evolution like the bonobos instead of the harsher one like the chimpanzee. Imagine us all eating enough, enjoying lush and bountiful lifestyles, travelling in polyamorous packs that resolve conflicts by rubbing genitals and/or through other sexual acts.
