neversremedy8: (A Girl's Best Friend)

She wore the hat anyway, after a little time at school, and even played with other girls as "dirty pirate catgirls with claws." When I picked her up, she put on her hat, and walked out, waving to all her playmates and saying "Arr" along the way, even to my pharmacist.

She also said they went to the music room today, and she was the happiest I've seen her since she started school. The only trouble she had was someone pushed her on the playground, and when she fell, she bit her lip very hard so there are two fat and bloody wounds on her lower lip. Poor thing.

But we've had a good evening ever since I picked her up.

The only disappointment was finding that my doctor's receptionist didn't listen to me when I told her I had an infection and needed antibiotics. When I mentioned I had an HS (I used the full name) flare up and had previously been prescribed a tetracycline antibiotic, she said she'd talk to the doctor. She called me later to say they had both a topical cream for the lesions and pills to help with the infection. What did I get? Herpes meds. I don't have herpes. She didn't fucking listen to me, and now I have to go another night with four infected cysts and nothing to help with inflammation for another day. At least I didn't have to pay out of pocket for the meds, but I don't think I'll be getting shingles again any time soon, so what the hell can I do with Valtrex and Zovirax? Is there a black market for this stuff? Bueller?

Of course, I should have known better than to speak to the woman who isn't his normal receptionist, but now I'll probably have to go in and speak to him directly. *sighs*

Aw, I'm sorry honey. Maybe those meds might still be useful for your condition though? They are antivirals, of course. Is your problem caused by a virus or bacterium or haven't they a clue?

Maybe it wouldn't hurt to use the topical cream at least until you speak to the right person. I think.

Big Hugs and Love,
Mom

No, not good for my problem at all. This is a genetic disorder, not a virus. What I am fighting off right now, though, are secondary, opportunistic infections, and the open lesions aren't going to close without antibiotics. I'm not putting an antiviral cream on a large, festering wound under my arm, not knowing what affect it will have on me.

Yes, I know it's genetic. Though it must be from your father's side. Sorry I haven't found anything more helpful about it yet. I just hate knowing that you are suffering and there's nothing much I can do. (Energy coming.) Hope they get the right meds to you today.
